چکیده
The Black Sea is the crossroads for many nations and economic interests of numerous countries. ports in are most important activity centres where countries carry out their import export activities. In this paper, shipping emissions generated from ships visiting 10 Turkish located were estimated ratio region was evaluated. Total studied as 4.949 t y-1 NOX, 280.498 CO2, 2.059 SO2, 197 VOC, 260 PM 2018 based on ship activity-based method. General cargo tanker responsible 92% total ship-borne region, chemicals, bulk carrier, passenger/ro-ro cargo, other such tugs, barge, multi-purpose ships, yachts, warships follow it. Emissions produced mainly emitted at cruising mode (84%), followed by hotelling (15%). environmental cost port each pollutant 61,5 million 6.164 per call. 2,5% international constitute 6-7% PM, 14% 6-14% 11-20% NOX emissions. should be declared an emission control area/sulphur area to reduce This first study estimate Sea.

Needs and opportunities to reduce black carbon emissions from maritime shipping
Black carbon is the second largest contributor to human-induced climate warming, after carbon dioxide. International shipping is a major source of diesel black carbon emissions and not yet subject to international regulation. This paper investigates the contribution of black carbon from shipping to the global diesel black carbon inventory, by cross comparing results from a number of studies. Wh...

Background. DNA adenine methylation plays an important role in several critical bacterial processes including mismatch repair, the timing of DNA replication and the transcriptional control of gene expression. The dependence of bacterial virulence on DNA adenine methyltransferase (Dam) has led to the proposal that selective Dam inhibitors might function as broad spectrum antibiotics. Methodology...
